Open Settings under System in the left menu. The page is split into tabs; each applies to the whole account, that is to every group and screen in it. Click Save Changes at the bottom of a tab after editing it.
1. Display and Screen Settings
Installation-wide defaults for the players.
- Keep TV On - sends a CEC "TV on" command to the display every 3 minutes so a TV that was switched off from its remote comes back on.
- Disable CEC power check - stops the player from checking the TV's power state over CEC every 3 minutes; turn it on for displays that misbehave with CEC.
- Hide System Message - hides on-screen system messages such as "Download in progress".
- Dont show startup screen - skips the welcome screen and the network diagnostics shown at boot.
- Subscribe for player status - emails you when a screen goes offline or comes back, checked every 15 minutes (paid accounts only).
- Auto-register player - lets a new player register itself to this account at first power-on; the account details must be in the player-config.txt on the SD card.
- Disable download from UI to your local storage - removes the option to download assets from the Assets page to your computer.
- Enable log for file play count/details - the player reports every file played, for play-count reports. Network intensive; leave off unless you need the reports.
- Disable player download on modem - the player does not download content when it is online only through a modem interface, not Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Bypass video conversion - uploaded videos are stored as they are instead of being converted to 1080p; needed for 4K, upload mp4 or mkv only.
- Default duration for assets in playlists - the number of seconds an image or page plays when it is added to a playlist, unless you change it there.
- Screen reporting interval in minutes - how often each player reports its status to the server.
- Zone Aliases - your own names for the side, bottom and zone4 to zone6 zones, shown in the playlist editor instead of the zone names.
2. Branding Settings
White-label the web interface for your account and your clients.
- Expanded Logo / Collapsed Logo - the logo shown in the left menu when it is open and when it is collapsed to icons; upload a PNG and enter its file name.
- Custom URL - the page the logo links to, for example your company website.
- Host Mapping - serve the interface from your own domain, for example signage.yourdomain.com; contact support so the HTTPS certificate can be set up before it works.
- Primary Color / Secondary Color - the accent colours used by buttons, links and highlights.
- Login image, Signup image, Verify email image, Two-Factor Authentication choice image, Authenticator app setup image, Success image - the pictures shown beside each step of the login and signup flow on your branded domain.
3. Authorization Settings
Credentials the players use.
- Username for download access / Password for download access - protect content downloads and the player web UI with a login; the players use these credentials to fetch content from the server.
- SSH Password for system access - sets the password of the pi user on every Raspberry Pi player in the account (default pi); avoid the "$" character.
4. Collaborator Settings
Share the account with other users without sharing your password.
- Add Collaborator - add an existing pisignage.com user by username, or create a new user with a username, optional email and password; then assign the groups and locations they may see and tick their rights.
- Strictly enforce collaborators - only users whose email is on the same domain as yours can be added, and they can be collaborators of this account only.
- Edit rights - per collaborator: the groups and locations they can access, then rights for Assets (create and view, edit, restrict to allowed groups), Playlists (edit, choose layout), Groups (view only, edit settings, change default playlist, edit schedule), Players (create, edit settings, use the screen terminal), Locations (view only), Settings (edit all), Payments, Template Designer and App Store.
- Remove collaborator - takes the user's access away; their own account is not deleted.
- Manage rights templates - save a set of rights under a name and pick it when adding collaborators, instead of ticking the boxes every time.
- SAML Template for Collaborators - an identity provider (entry point URL, issuer, certificate, optional private key and relay state) applied to new collaborators so they sign in through your SSO, for example Okta or Azure AD. Your own login is not affected.
5. Screen Management
- Manage Players - every registered player with its ID. Disable player takes a player out of service and keeps it in the list; Remove player deletes it immediately, without a confirmation step, and its licence is credited back to the account. See How to delete a player and redeem license.
6. Audit Logs
- Every change made through the interface or the API, with date, user and IP address, HTTP method and URL, and the request sent. Filter by user, method or URL, and use Download to export the log.
7. Integrations
Connect cloud accounts once and use them in assets and widgets on the screens.
- Power BI Integration - connect with a Microsoft Entra service principal (tenant ID, client ID and secret) to show Power BI reports and dashboards. See Showing a Power BI report on your screens.
- Microsoft 365 Integration - sign in with a Microsoft account to use Outlook calendars, OneDrive and SharePoint files, Teams and room schedules; several accounts can be added.
- Google Drive Integration - sign in with a Google account to use Drive folders, Sheets, Slides and Google calendars; several accounts can be added.
8. Legacy UI
- Go back to legacy UI - switches your account back to the classic interface; the Switch to legacy UI toggle at the top of the page does the same. Everything configured here is shared by both interfaces.
