We have released new 1.9.9 image which supports new pi 3 B+ hardware, if you face any issues let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Power Supply (PSU) - The new Raspberry Pi 3B+ needs more juice than previous models - You'll need an official 5.1V 2.5A power supply (or equivalent).
I tried the above but it doesn't work for me. I hope the new image is ready soon. Also tried to install it within raspian but it freezes up in the terminal and then raspbian doesnt work anymore.
I am looking at purchasing two pi,s right now to use for pi signage. Would you recommend the 3 b+ or just the 3 b?
We are working on the new image, we hope to put first version within a week, although it should work on Pi 3 B+ since it is based on new Raspbian release (March 2018), we will not have an opportunity to test the same till 15th of April on Pi 3 B+.
Thanks Ravi, If you were to purchase a Raspberry Pi right now would you get the 3 B+ or the 3 B?
Looking for your thoughts
We have a new image 1.9.9 which works with pi 3B+, so you could get 3B+. If you face any issues please let us know.
